(386–464) The Arcipresta Suprema at the time of the first discovery of the [[Mundumbra]]. She travelled to Isla Arbojan to visit it and died soon after.

====Marivel====
(393)–464) The Alta Sacerdotisa of Isla Arbojan at the time of the first discovery of the [[Mundumbra]]. She died soon after the discovery.

====Nicolasa====
(The Older). An Alta Sacerdotisa of Rocosa who wrote books on the history of Rocosa and the High Priestesses.

====Ramonita====
Jesenia's mistress when she was an Acólita.

====Seferina====
A Sacerdotisa Velada who passed through the Mundumbra with the Guardia captain [[Garavito]] with the task of securing the Earth side of the portal. [[Isabel Navarro]] is her descendant.

==Criada==

====Pascuala====
A Handmaiden who wrote about the discovery of the [[Mundumbra]] portal. She was deputy to Alta Sacerdotisa [[Marivel]]. She wrote an account of the discovery when Marivel and [[Agraciana]] (the Arcipresta Suprema) died, and also a diary entry about the Priestess and Guardia who passed through the portal to make it secure.

==Guardia==

====Garavito====
A Guardia captain who passed through the Mundumbra with the Priestess [[Seferina]] with the task of securing the Earth side of the portal. [[Isabel Navarro]] is his descendant.

====Ozalla====
A lieutenant in charge of the party who captured Emily and were defeated by Alucio, Luke and Susan. He was executed on Jesenia's orders.

====Tavio====
One of a pair of troopers who capture Meg when she first enters Altierra. He has a thick, bushy black beard.

====Videlio====
A lieutenant, friendly with Fabra and Raf. He visits Elisal when the Maddisons are hiding there. Tall man with a scar down the left side of his face.

==Bestia==

====Laia====
A personal servant to Socorra. She assists in the search for information on the portal.

====Mija====
The personal slave of [[Valdez]], a Bestia Fiel. Attractive and supplies his with sex.

====Neiva====
A Bestia Primera in the House of the Handmaidens in Rocosa. About twenty, a friend of [[Brisa]]. She is very quiet and tries to avoid saying anything to annoy [[Vila]].

====Paco====
A male Bestia Primera in Rocosa. He rapes Toia when they meet each other on the under-terrace.

====Yago====
A porter at Rocosa. He meets Alucio and Susan when they infiltrate it.

==General populace==

====Bamonte====
A member of [[the Guild of Navigators]]. The captain of the ''Stella Sacra'' which had been planned to take [[Jesenia]] and [[Meg Maddison]] to [[Casando]].

====Cascon====
A trader from Vallescuro. He is at Rocosa when Alucio and Susan infiltrate it.

====Cedro====
A fisherman in [[Peyrol]] who informs Alucio of Emily's presence with [[Madesto]]. Has a "runaway "beard.

====Genita====
[[Alucio]]'s wife. Lives in his house in the hill, often alone while he is out hunting. She is calm and capable, untroubled when the Priestesses were searching for her husband. Was very kind to the Maddisons.

==On Earth==

====Mrs Millar====

[[Isabel Navarro]]'s housekeeper at [[Portian House]].  A short, mousy woman with grey hair in a tight bun who looked as old as the building. She spoke in an odd accent, a mixture of broad Devonian and Mediterranean.
