These are a specialist corps of Guardia, a kind of snatch squad, whose purpose is to track down runaway Bestia and return them to their establishment.
Etymology
[edit]The name Redentores comes from the Spanish for "Redeemer".
Runagate is sixteenth-century variant of "renegade" and means a vagabond, fugitive, or renegade.
Appearance
[edit]The corps dress in black cloaks and tunics :
- to differentiate them from other Guardia
- as camouflage whilst tracking
- to appear more threatening and intimidating
Notes
[edit]Their official name is Redentores but both they and others know them as Dark wolves because of their dark uniforms and the persistence in tracking (like the animals).
