Elisa was the husband of Fabra and mother of Raf, and a prominent figure in the fishing village of Peyrol, remembered for her strength of character and her ultimate sacrifice during a time of great seasonal hardship.
Elisa was a strong-willed leader who commanded the respect of her community. During a year of failing crops and relentless rain, she became the voice of her village when they were targeted by the Priestesses.
When the Cregan sent their Guardia to seize the village's essential food supplies for a second time in two months, the community faced a choice between submission and starvation. Elisa led the villagers in a stand against this systemic theft.
Her death was a direct result of her bravery and defiance:
- The Confrontation: Elisa engaged in a heated argument with the Handmaiden overseeing the Guardia.
- The Sentence: This act of defiance "sealed her fate", marking her as a primary target for the Cregan’s cruelty.
- The Execution: In a brutal display of power intended to intimidate the survivors, the Guardia marched her into the sea and drowned her in front of the entire village.
Note: when Fabra moved to a new home after the murder, he named it Elisal in her honour.
