Valdez is a Guardia Marischal at Rocosa, tasked with finding the Mundumbra portal. He interrogated Meg Maddison when she was brought there and was fascinated by her hair and exotic origin. He hoped to obtain her as a personal Bestia if he succeeded in his mission.

After Meg escapes from Sometria, he joined the Dark Wolves to pursue her, taking a demotion in the process.
