Portal
A passage between Earth and Altierra, noticeable for the variable time difference between the two worlds. There are only two known portals, both now destroyed.
Terrapuerta
[edit]Tierrapuerta was the portal between Patagonia and Alta from which the English and then the Spanish settlers passed through to populate Altierra. It appeared as a passageway inside a cave on the Earth side, and a large crack in a cliff in Altierra. The Earth entrance was destroyed by an earthquake in the year 8 and forgotten.
The Mundumbra
[edit]The Mundumbra linked Dartmoor in England to Isla Arbojan. At the time the Maddisons passed through, the Earth end was within a cellar in Portian House, appearing as a crack in the walls. On the Altierran side, it resembled an animal burrow beneath a boulder. The portal was filled in when the Maddisons returned permanently to Altierra.
