Temple

Temples can refer to both the star-like rooms where worship is undertaken (known as the Sacrario or a larger structure incorporating the Sacrario and its surrounding buildings, known as the Templo. In Cregans and other schools, which do not need the extra buildings, it refers to just the Sacrario.

Layout

Public temples

These are the large buildings found outside Cregans and the schools. They temple itself consists of a hexagonal central block with six radial wings. One wing (the east) is the main entrance although Handmaidens and Priestesses have separate entrances. The other five wings are dedicated to one of the Pantheon, with Alturión's wing being in the west.

In the centre of the central block is a golden Sagrapenta. It is forbidden for anyone - even Priestesses - to stand upon this, on pain of death.

Private temples

While public temples are open to many different people, the private temples in Cregans and schools are usually used by one group: a Cregan will have a temple for Priestesses, one for Handmaidens, one for the Guardia and a personal one for the High Priestess. It is therefore unnecessary to have a building as large as the public temples.

With private temples, the wings are removed and the sides of the central hexagon have niches dedicated to the gods. The roof is often lower.
