A passage between Earth and Altierra, noticeable for the variable time difference between the two worlds. There are only two known portals, both now destroyed.

Terrapuerta

Tierrapuerta was the portal between Patagonia and Alta from which the English and then the Spanish settlers passed through to populate Altierra. It appeared as a passageway inside a cave on the Earth side, and a large crack in a cliff in Altierra. The Earth entrance was destroyed by an earthquake in the year 8 and forgotten.

The Mundumbra

The Mundumbra linked Dartmoor in England to Isla Arbojan. At the time the Maddisons passed through, the Earth end was within a cellar in Portian House, appearing as a crack in the walls. On the Altierran side, it resembled an animal burrow beneath a boulder. The portal was filled in when the Maddisons returned permanently to Altierra.
